Parkland and gardens

Château Le Mas de Montet is set in 130 acres of tranquil parkland and woodland bordered by the Dronne river, amidst rolling hills, forest and waterways. The Château is open only to its guests who are free to explore the grounds of the Château which is a natural haven for wildlife.

Guests can often see otters, red squirrels, deers, hares, tree frogs, turtles and an enormous variety of birds. The golden oriel and the nightingale can be heard singing throughout the spring and early summer. The migration path of the Siberian cranes passes directly overhead the Château’s parkland, making a spectacular sight in spring and autumn. Finally, shooting stars are a regular occurrence in our night sky untainted by urban light pollution.
